Testimonials
Thank you all for a fabulous sports day yesterday. It was so lovely to see the kids having such a great day and giving it their all. Henry said “ it was the best day of his life “.
Thanks for all your hard work.
Thanks for all your hard work.
Jo and Tony Colby.
I just wanted to send a message to say thank you to everyone at school working so hard under such tough circumstances the last couple of weeks. From the always friendly emails and voices on the phone in the office (even though I know my call/email is one of a longline in the morning!!), the teachers/TAs who are managing to deliver quality sessions for the children in and out of school and the senior leaders who are fielding all the calls and holding everything together. We appreciate you all so much, thank you .
Katherine, James, Iris and Poppy
Can I pass on thanks and appreciation to Mr Usher and his staff for putting in place virtual schooling for the children.
It really has been excellent and is keeping Sophie engaged the whole day. Miss Biln has been brilliant and it is making this lockdown not as stressful as the previous two. Hope everyone keeps safe.
K. Ahmed - Year 5 Parent
Just a quick note to say thank you all for a wonderful streamlined week of home learning!
Mr Fox, Mrs Tinson and Mr Fisher have been amazing!! All the staff at Emmbrook deserve medals after this all ends!
Trust me we think you are all fantastic!! The lessons, communication and organisational is amazing!
You have a great team of people behind the whole system.
Thank you, Charlie and Lisa Sprackling
A huge thank you from us for all the hard work and the brilliant provisions you have put in place at such short notice. Both our children are getting on with the work and I am finding the structure this time round really helpful whilst we juggle working and helping the kids. The efforts of both schools are really appreciated.
Thank you, Jo and Tony Colby
As a parent of a child in year 6, I wanted to thank you and all of your staff for doing such an amazing job with the online learning.
Schools have been set such a difficult task in such a short notice period.
We are completely happy with the communication from the school and the online learning set.
Kind Regards, Laura Smith
I Just want to say a massive thank you to all the staff for all your hard work in delivering Hannah’s working books, and for setting up the online lessons, and all the work surrounding Hannah’s learning. I Can’t imagine how stressful it must be for all of the school staff.
Stay safe to all of you, and thank you again for such support in her learning, especially at this difficult time.
Kind regards, Kim Vokes
I just wanted to say a big thank you to you all for this week. My children have been having a hard time with coming in during this lockdown and as Mum I have found it hard to alleviate their anxieties as they need to be in. This week I have been spamming you with emails for their individual concerns which have always lead to a lot of tears here, and not wanting to come in. The support we have received with helping solve the situation, and promptly has been exactly what the children need and I need as Mum.
Thank you
Thank you for being so supportive to them, and me this week.
It helps all of us have a more enjoyable day when it hasn’t been started
with a tummy ache that is because they don’t want to go in.

I would like to thank Miss Felton, Miss Biln, all the Year 5 team and everyone at EJS for all they have done this half term. The live lessons and structured work has really helped as the whole family has been working from home.
Thank you!
Thank you to all the staff at Emmbrook Juniors! Charlie may not have enjoyed spellings
(hasn’t applied himself at all there 😆) but he has been 100% interested in all other lessons!
The lessons have been brilliant. One massive positive is that he has turned into a book worm!

Dear Mr Usher and all of the Emmbrook Junior school staff
We just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you for making Abi’s time at the school so wonderful. She is leaving with very happy memories and great friends but with a spring in her step ready for the next challenge. We couldn’t have asked for a better start for her. The Emmbrook school community is a pleasure to be a part of.
Thank you for all your hard work, especially during these massively challenging times.
Warmest regards Angela and Darren Payne
Emmbrook Junior School pupils speak with pride as they describe their school. They are appreciative of being here because they know they are part of something special.
Ofsted 2022
Pupils are warm, friendly and courteous. They show kindness to visitors, staff and each other. Pupils feel safe as everyone looks out for each other. They explained that bullying is almost unheard of but know exactly where to go for help when needed.
Ofsted 2022
Pupils enjoy the chance to learn about, and celebrate, difference. As a specialist school for the deaf, every pupil learns British Sign Language and many use this confidently. Pupils are fascinated by different lifestyles and religions. They make new arrivals to the school feel particularly welcome.
Ofsted 2022
Pupils learn to look after themselves and their friends. They have an appropriate understanding of the risks they may face and are prepared to make good decisions when presented with unfamiliar situations.
Ofsted 2022
Staff are skilled at spotting the small signs that a pupil may need help. They record their observations diligently, sharing these with leaders without delay. Senior staff collate, analyse and consider this information carefully.
Ofsted 2022
Pupils enjoy extensive opportunities to explore their interests and passions. All disadvantaged pupils attend an after-school club and leaders now hope to increase the participation of other pupils as well.
Ofsted 2022
Staff have a detailed understanding of what knowledge pupils have been taught already and build on this well.
